How to Apply (BA)

Honours BA in Art History

Admission to the BA in Visual Arts (Art History) program is based on academic standing.

Application Process

Submit your application to the York University: Fine Arts - Visual Art - Art History (BA) program on the Ontario Universities Application Centre (OUAC) website.  If you are not a current high school student, you may also be eligible to apply directly through the York University Office of Admissions. Current York students interested in transfering to the program should contact the department directly to apply.

Application Criteria

As a guide, the average required for admission in recent years has been in the mid 70s (a B/B+ average) for high school students and C+/B for current university/college students.

Note: You can also apply to the BFA in Visual Arts (Studio). If you are interested in both the BFA in Studio and the BA in Art History you must apply separately to each program.
